The Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park is located in the shadow of the State Capitol in downtown Nashville. The 19-acre park is designed to complement the Tennessee Capitol Building, give visitors a taste of Tennessee's history and natural wonders, and serve as a lasting monument to Tennessee's Bicentennial celebration.

Friends of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, incorporated in 2006, is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501c3 organization. The primary purpose for which the Friends are organized is to support the Park in the furtherance of its mission. The Friends will educate the public about the history and culture of Tennessee, promote the use of the Park as an urban resource, and support the historical and multicultural activities of the Park. All of our activities and money raised are used to benefit Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and its visitors.

The Friends group shares a love of the Park and an appreciation of its inestimable value to the surrounding region. The Park's historical, natural, cultural and recreational facilities greatly enrich our lives. We want to make sure that these exceptional resources continue to exist today and in the future.
